My husband and I stayed here a few weeks ago and were very disappointed in our stay. At check in they said that Travel Website entered our room wrong and tried giving us a double room instead of a king...and the room was nasty....the bathtub wasn't clean and the bed had bedbugs in it that I am STILL trying to get over. Please..if you are considering staying here, rethink this decision.

Friendly staff, very clean rooms, small but nice breakfast, kids love to play mini golf at just a 1.00 a person and they also love to play in the pool, i will say they pool should get a bit more attention but overall the motel was very nice. will stay again

Marion County should be the "Natural Spring Capital of the World." Being on a tight budget, I decided to take my family on an in-state vacation. We choose to visit Ocala, Florida because it is the home to many numerous fresh water springs and natural walking trails that a have very nominal admission fees. After searching on internet, we deciding on booking a room at the Howard Johnson Ocala. True to its pictures and advertising, Ho-Jo Ocala, was beatifully landscaped over a large property, with a huge outdoor heated pool, jacuzzi and mini-golf. The rooms were spacious and clean with comfortable bedding with expanded cable. Breakfast was free and they actually had some hot items(oatmeal, grits, waffles) and boiled eggs. We fed the kids well and told them each to take an apple and bananna with them. We were always greeted with a warm smile when we entered the lobby and were given nice directions to all the nearby springs. A nice comfortable room for $50(including a free breakfast for my whole family), getting admitted into Rainbow Springs State Park for less than $10 left money to splurg on an authentic Italian dinner at the nearby Lorenzo's Pizza and Pasta at night. My family and I definitely recommend Howard Johnson Inn Ocala, Florida for a family looking for value.
